How do I research to solve a problem or answer a question?
Try a database first...
Click on the icons below to access Clark's online databases. They are the best place to start your research. Check with Mrs. Guillen or Mrs. Owens for passwords if needed. You can also access more research databases with your KCLS student account.
Searching the web?
Be on the lookout for primary sources.
A primary source is a first hand account of events and life at the time it happened. For example, we can learn about exploration by reading a ship's log entry from the captain, about the Revolutionary War by reading newspapers and letters written by the people that were there, or study a story pole made by Northwest Coast natives. Your Grandparents are primary sources when they tell you stories about their lives, and so are you when you experience life as a student at Clark in 2016. Follow the links below to some primary source resources.
